Still life

With the term "Still life" we want to indicate an artistic genre in which flowers, fruits and various objects are represented, extrapolated from their natural context and placed under the eye of the artist. Artistic representations of still life are already present in Greek-Roman times in the mosaics that embellished the villas of Pompeii and Herculaneum and until the Renaissance it was used for allusive and symbolic purposes as explained extensively in the section dedicated to food and drink. Only from the beginning of the seventeenth century still life begins to lose its symbolic valences to become an autonomous style, distinguishing itself in three currents: the Venetian-Lombard dead nature referred to the interest in the reality of everyday life; the allegorical still life where flowers and fruits have symbolic valences; still life as scientific documentation, usually created by Dutch masters characterized by an amazing realism full of details. Details that are faithfully reproduced thanks to Fine Art print on Canvas canvas produced by the workshops in Shopart, also you can choose to embellish the walls of our kitchen or the halls of a restaurant thanks to the prints on mdf boards suitable for modern environments and contemporary design .
