The painting Water Serpents 2 was painted between 1904-1907 by Gustave Klimt with the pictorial technique of oil on canvas. Commonly called water snakes or water serps, the painting has a horizontal development and shows four female figures that move sinuously into the water just like the sea snakes. Klimt emphasizes the feminine beauty by charging the movements with a strong erotic accent, visible above all in the first figure that makes a gesture with the hand moving the hair to allow a visual contact with the viewer. The composition is full, the parts that divide the figures are occupied by the hair of women whose locks sway like bodies in the water and blend with the algae. The latter are decorated with stars, circles and decorative motifs taken from the mosaics that Klimt saw in Italy in Ravenna. The details of the painting are innumerable and thanks to the fine art printing technique of the shopart laboratories, the Giclée print on canvas is reproduced as the original. Also available the poster and the print on mdf board. In addition, the print on canvas of Water Serpents by Gustave Klimt can be finished with a brush-effect paint that gives the print an added value like oil painting.
