Nighthawks is an oil painting on canvas painted by the American artist Edward Hopper in 1942 and kept in Chicago at The Art Institute. It is a nocturnal painting that shows a deserted street with closed shops and silent houses underlined by closed and dark windows. The red color of the houses on the left creates a strong contrast with the pale green complement of the deserted road. The static nature of this is interrupted by the bar placed in perspective with an accentuated angle whose large window shows the inside of the bar illuminated with the cold neon light. Inside the bar we find the "nocturnal hawks" or three characters sitting at the cherry table. On the left is a man whose shoulders are hidden, on the right a couple with the man smoking a cigarette and looking lost to stare at an indefinite point, next to a woman in a red dress. The three patrons do not communicate, everyone is lost in his own world, in his own thoughts. The only hint at a dialogue, perhaps questioning comes from the fourth character, the barman bent over in the act of taking or preparing something while looking at the couple. Nighthawks by Edward Hopper tells the loneliness of man, his alienation. This wonderful masterpiece by Edward Hopper is proposed by Shopart on Poster, fine art print on wooden panel and the magnificent print on canvas. The Giclée print on canvas of Edward Hopper's Nighthawks is in very high resolution and is printed with eight pigment colors using Giclée technology. Thanks to this printing technology, the most delicate shades of the shop windows closed in the background of the picture emerge from the intense darkness of the night. Hopper's painting can be embellished thanks to the application of the transparent varnish with a brush effect that will give the print on canvas an appearance similar to a painting painted in oil with raised brushstrokes visible both to the eye and to the touch. Finally The painting on canvas mounted on a frame by Hopper, Nighthawks can be finished with a colored border chosen by the customer. The colored border acts as a frame and allows an elegant insertion into the home environment.
