Pointillism
Pointillism is a pictorial movement born in France in the second half of the nineteenth century. Characteristic of pointillism painting is the combination of pure and complementary colors never mixed together, through small brush strokes (point-like) and juxtaposed brushstrokes creating effects of great luminosity and chromatic brilliance. Among the divisionist artists we recall Georges Seurat, Paul Signac and others.
