Neo-expressionism was an artistic movement born in the seventies of the twentieth century and is characterized by the representation of the human figure often represented in a distorted and not very faithful to the physical reality, precisely in order to express the mood. The main exponents are Georg Baselitz, Lucian Freud and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
