Pointillism
Divisionism is a pictorial movement born in France in the second half of the nineteenth century. The element characterizing the divisionist painting is the combination of pure and complementary colors, never mixed together, through small brush strokes (point-like) and skilful brushstrokes that create effects of great luminosity and chromatic brilliance. Among the divisionist artists, we recall Georges Seurat, Paul Signac and the Italians Pelizza da Volpedo, Angelo Barabino and Giovanni Segantini
